FAQ
Coolroom & Freezer Rooms.

What is cold room? A refrigerating chamber or cold room is a warehouse in which a specific temperature is artificially generated. It is generally designed for storing products in an environment below the outside temperature. Products that need refrigeration include fruits, vegetables, seafood, meat, flowers.

Cool: Store between 8°-15°C (45°-59°F). Room temperature: Store at 15°-25°C (59°-77°F).

The basic difference between a walk-in freezer and a cold room is that the latter operates at a temperature ranging from -2C°and 5C° while freezer rooms ranges from -40C° to -18C°. So, cold room is considered as cold; but the freezer room is to freeze the items and preserve it further.

You can also use a combination of warm water and baking soda in cleaning your coolroom. An abrasive scrubber is recommended for removing spills and debris from the surfaces of the room. Any build-up of dirt, dust, and other particles must also be removed through a vacuum.

The average reverse cycle air conditioner costs around $0.25 – $0.35 per hour to run for cooling purposes, depending on the size of the room. A medium-sized room of 36sqm would cost $0.36 – $0.70 per hour to run. In large areas (50sqm), it will cost between $0.70 and $0.95 per hour.
